This is the "Official Site of the Holy Shroud" created and sponsored by the Archdiocese of Turin in Italy. The Holy See (Vatican) has ownership title to the Shroud but the Shroud itself is housed in Turin and is in the custody of the Archdiocese there. The site is maintained in Italian, English and French. Be sure to click in the upper right corner for your preferred language.
This site was created and is maintained by Barrie M Schwortz. Barrie was a trusted and greatly valued member of the STURP team. This site is the best and most comprehensive site for the archival of research papers and publications dealing with the Shroud.
This is the official site of the American Confraternity of the Holy Shroud (ACHS).
Vern Miller was a world-wide renowned scientific photographer with the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Califonia, when he was recruited to join the Shroud of Turin Research Project (STURP). He was subsequently designated the "Official Scientific Photographer" for the STURP expedition to Turin to scientifically study and examine the Shroud. This site includes over 200 incredible high quality digitized photographs of the Shroud employing various different lighting techniques taken by Miller. These photographs will cause you to gaze and contemplate, as it did Miller, who stated in awe and wonder, "What do you do with images like these?"
